Office and Productivity Suites
The word processor, spreadsheet and presentation concepts exams test: editing shortcuts, relative and absolute cell references, the everyday spreadsheet functions, formula versus value, sort and filter, chart choice, presentation views, and common file formats.
What you will be able to do
- Recall the common editing shortcuts and the function-key actions used across office apps.
- Tell a relative reference from an absolute or mixed one and predict how each changes when a formula is copied.
- Choose the right spreadsheet function for a counting, lookup or conditional task.
- Match a data set to a suitable chart type and name the main office file formats.

What an office suite is
An office suite bundles three core tools:
- a word processor for documents (Writer, Word);
- a spreadsheet for tables and calculation (Calc, Excel);
- a presentation tool for slides (Impress, PowerPoint).
The common suites are Microsoft Office (desktop and Microsoft 365), LibreOffice (free and open source) and Google's browser-based apps. Exam questions rarely depend on one brand — they test the shared ideas: editing shortcuts, how a formula refers to cells, which function does a job, and which file format to save.
